Southern Fried Salmon Patties Recipe

 

  1. Mix the Patties
    Flake the salmon into a bowl with a fork. Add onion, flour, cornmeal, egg, mayonnaise, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.

  2. Shape & Fry
    Form the mixture into patties. Heat about 1 inch of oil in a skillet over medium heat. Fry until golden brown and cooked through, about 3–4 minutes per side.

  3. Serve Hot
    Drain on paper towels and serve warm with dipping sauce, lemon wedges, or a side of greens.

Tips & Variations

Make it Moroccan: Add parsley, cumin, or harissa for a flavorful twist.

For a crispier crust: Chill patties for 15 minutes before frying.
